This pattern is for a square in either 7”x7” or 8”x8” using the Sedge Stitch.

You can use the square in projects like the Stitch Sampler Poncho or other projects using squares.

The Sedge Stitch is easy to make and only requires knowing basic stitches.

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn
• Crochet hooks size J or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• 2 optional stitch markers

Pattern is written in English using standard U.S. crochet terms.

Level: Beginner.
