Featuring a unique construction, Sedona utilizes a self-striping yarn to highlight the bias welt fabric of the body. Sedona is knit in three parts. First, the slanted rib pattern is created by using increases and decreases to make a biased fabric knit flat that will later be seamed. Next, stitches are picked up to knit the ribbed brim. Lastly, stitches are picked up to purl the crown. This hat can be worn as a fun slouchy hat, or with the brim folded for a tighter fit. For a matching scarf, simply knit a longer version of the body!

I knit this hat using Lion Brand’s Tweed Stripes in the Woodlands colorway and used the whole skein. I recommend having a second skein handy just in case.
