Easy sunhat with 4” wire edged brim. The crown of the hat is done in puff stitch and single crochet for texture. Instructions are for 6 color changes on the crown but it can be worked in solid colors as well.

You will need wire to crochet into the brim to keep it from falling down. I recommend using stainless steel wire (.89mm or .035”) because it holds the shape nicely but is easy to join. Craft wire will also work but may not hold the shape as well. The easiest method is purchasing millinery wire (I bought mine on Etsy) and wire joints to connect. The millinery wires isn’t as heavy duty as the stainless steel, but it does the trick.
