Seeded Rib Socks

This is a beginner friendly sock pattern. It is written with row by row and/or round by round instructions for the typical beginner problem areas: the heel flap, turning the heel, picking up the gusset stitches, gusset decreases, toe decreases and Kitchener stitch (grafting). The seeded rib stitch cuff is an easy to learn rib pattern that is prettier than basic 2x2 (k2,p2) ribbing but just as easy to learn. This would be a great pattern for your first pair of socks. The pattern calls for Plymouth Sockotta Fair Isle Effect, a wool/cotton blend, sock yarn but any fingering weight sock yarn may be substituted. I do recommend that any yarn you use be machine washable and dryable, for example superwash wool.
