Seeds for Sowing

Preparing a garden in early spring, the soil is tilled, then seeds are sown, before getting covered back up so they can grow. Seeds for Sowing commemorates the last sight of the seeds before they begin the process that turns them into the plants we want to grow.

This pattern is a great way to use up that really awesome single skein of yarn that deserves to be showcased.

Add coordinating beads to incorporate a little sparkle, or go with contrasting beads to really draw attention to this boomerang shawlette.

With a 12 row repeat, half of which is in garter stitch, you only purl 3 rows out of every 12. All shaping is done on the right side and adding the beads is done on the wrong side, making it easy to remember what you are supposed to be doing.

The I-Cord edges provide a clean finish, and help to stabilize the fabric so that it maintains its shape.
