Seedy Slouch Hat
This reversible hat is knit in the round from the top down.
I am wearing it with the knit side of the linen stitch facing out, and in the photograph showing it alone, it has the woven side of the linen stitch facing out.
A relaxed gauge keeps it nice and slouchy, and for those of us with larger skulls, there is plenty of room to block it a bit bigger!
I have knit this in both solid and painted colours of the Malabrigo Silky Wool, and they are alllll delicious!
If you are looking for yarn substitutions, a similar weight yarn with wool blended with silk, tencel, or another slippery/shiny fibre would be gorgeous! 100% wool could work too, though I’d recommend swatching.
100% alpaca or other non-bouncy fibres wouldn’t be the best choice, as the band needs some amount of cling and recovery to keep the hat on your head instead of slipping over your eyes!
