Seif
There is something quite romantic and mesmerising about sand dunes. They seem to be the ultimate free spirit that literally go wherever the wind takes them.
But how the wind takes them determines their shape and Longitudinal dune formations or Seif are shaped in a vertical line as opposed to more horizontal formations. And my Seif cowl takes this feature into its design.
Knitted in the round, the soft, meandering sand cables, move vertically up the cowl rather than horizontally like they do in my other Dune Collection Cowls: Dune, Doubling Dune and Tripling Dunes which are knitted flat.
Seif is an elegant design that slouches beautifully whilst still holding its shape. And you choose whether to show off the smaller or larger cable panel at the front when you wear it!
This simple knit is a perfect introduction to knitting cables in the round. It’s also a relatively quick, one skein DK project that makes it ideal to keep you entertained for a weekend or over the course of a few cosy evenings.
And Seif really is the perfect addition to any autumn/winter wardrobe. Whether you knit this as a present for yourself or a loved one, you are guaranteed to feel very snug as you brave the fresher weather.
Happy knitting!
