This is a semi-circular shawl featuring a wide lace knitted-on edging. It is named for my mother, who requested I design a shawl for her from the beautiful gift of Pixie from the Dragonfly Fibers ladies. Seigur is the Icelandic word for resilient.

Finished Size: 25” depth, 62” wingspan

Yarn: Dragonfly Fibers Pixie (100% Merino wool), 430 yards/4 ounces. Sample knit with Springtime In Washington, using 550 yards.

Needles: 32” circular needle, size 4 US (3.5mm), or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 20 stitches/28 rows per 4 inches in wet-blocked stockinette stitch; gauge is not critical for this item but will affect size, yardage used, and drape.
