The spirit of Christmas and it’s story touches me and so does the lyrics of Tryge Skaug’s Christmas song “seine natt desember”. It wasn’t hard to get inspired and make a mitten pattern packed with good, old fashioned Christmas cheer. When I sat down to make this pattern, old memories came to me. Memories from walking to the church on Christmas eve, the snow making squeaky noises under my shoes, frosty smoke, dark skies with stars on and the joy that filled me because the wait was finally over. All those memories, plus Trygve’s lyrics resulted in this pattern ❤️️
