Seixal
Inspired by the beautiful colours of Seixal beach on the island of Madeira, this shawl is a soothing, relaxing knit. Perfect for letting your creativity shine, the pattern is easily customisable: work in one colour or use up your stash of mini skeins, and easily adjust the size by working more or less repeats.
Your yarn is carried up the side of your work to minimise ends to sew, with an I-cord edging created at either side. You will finish by working an I-cord bind off.
To create a shawl as shown you will need 10 x 20g mini skeins of 4ply sock yarn (85m/20g) for your contrast colours, and 6 x Drops Nord (170m/50g) in Off White for your main colour. The finished measurements of the shawl are 150cm along the top edge x 200cm along the increase edge approximately.
I hope you love knitting your shawl, and would love to see photos of your creation! Please tag me on Instagram @emmacmakes and use the hashtag #seixalshawl.
