The pattern has been updated to my current style in June 2023.

These fingerless mitts are knit top-down towards the wrist. Upper edge, cuff and thumb are knit in brioche and the rest is easy colourwork. The mitts have a traditional thumb gusset to ensure good fit. Left and right mitts have their own colourwork charts.

Size:
One size, approx. for palm circumference of 6.5-8” / 17-20 cm (beneath the knuckles, not including thumb).

Yarn:
Louhittaren luola Kytöläinen II (550m/100g) or other light fingering weight yarn.

Shown in colours Kuutamo (colour A), Selja (colour B) and Custom/Pippuri (colour C)

Yardage:
Colour A: 153 yards / 140 meters
Colour B: 33 yards / 30 meters
Colour C: 33 yards / 30 meters

Needles:
2,25 mm (US 1) - 32”/80 cm circular needle for magic loop (or dpns if you prefer). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.

Gauge:
18 st / 22 rounds = 5x5 cm/2x2 inches of colourwork in the round (after blocking).

Others:
3 stitch markers, a tapestry needle
