Based on my Selkie Socks, the Selkie Hat features traditional gansey stitch patterns. Knits, purls, and twists/cables work together to create this simple, classic hat. A few rounds of contrasting color add visual interest and a chance to make a hat that is uniquely yours.

Sizes: Actual circumference of hat. Will fit a head slightly larger.

Newborn: 14” (36 cm): 60 yds (55 m) MC
Infant: 16” (41 cm): 80 yds (75 m) MC
Small: 18” (46 cm): 100 yds (90 m) MC
Medium: 20” (51 cm): 150 yds (140 m) MC
Large: 22” (56 cm): 175 yds (160 m) MC

For all sizes: ~15 yds (14 m) CC

Samples modeled are the medium (grey with blue stripe) and large (blue with orange stripe). Models both have 23” heads.
