The iridescent colors in Berroco’s Millefiori Light Yarn made me think of seaweed and black seals, and then the legend of the Selkies. In Scottish folklore, the Selkies were seals in the sea and humans on land. This shallow triangle Tunisian crochet shawl is worked outward from the spine to each tip. As written the pattern uses two skeins of Berroco’s Millefiori Light (as pictured color 6859 Viola) and yields a 78” wingspan. A simple, single change to the pattern is needed to make the shawl bigger. Guidance on yarn requirements for larger shawls is given in the notes of the pattern.
