The Selkie’s Garden Socks are an ode to the Wild Atlantic Coast of Ireland, it’s cliffs and beaches, and their life and vibrancy.

Inspired by these windswept beaches covered in bladderwrack, shells, and seafoam, tiny bubbles and tide pools brimming with quiet, busy sea life of the Western coast.

They are knitted up in fingering weight yarn, on size US 2/2.5 mm needles. They are sized Unisex Kids Large/Teen, Adult Small, Adult Medium, & Adult Large.

The design features a classic sock construction, worked cuff down with a flap and gusset style heel.
The cuff is ringed with eyelets that are mirrored across the toe, and a Roosimine botanical motif is worked on the side of the leg with a little halo of French knot bubbles surrounding it.

I knitted my sample in Jamiesons of Shetland 2 ply Jumper weight and Gathered Sheep yarns Shetland fingering.
