Selvatica is a simple drawstring backpack, roomy and sturdy but light, perfect for hiking, biking in the city or just to be paired with a nice outfit.
The bag is built starting from the bottom, which is worked flat. The body is worked in rounds directly attached to the bottom, following different mosaic crochet designs. The straps are worked in thermal stitch and sewn to the body. Finally, a Romanian cord is added as drawstring closure. The construction of the backpack is simple and suitable for beginners and only basic stitches are used, combined in interesting ways.

The finished backpack is 40 cm wide when laying flat (the circumference of the body is 80 cm) and 45 cm tall.

You will need:

• 200 grams/660 meters of yarn in main colour
• a total of 200/660 meters grams of yarn in constrasting colours (you can use between 1 and 5 contrasting colour)
• 3 mm crochet hook
• stitch marker, scissors, tapestry needle
