Selvedge Tee
The pattern’s been updated on 30th of June 2022, (correcting the stitch count for size 50 for Rnd3 on p.4)
An effortless tee, worked in Monokrom Cotton to provide the airiness and drape to your summer wardrobe.
Features refined openwork ‘seam’ detail that frames the sloped shoulders, and continues down the sides of the slightly cropped body.
Top-down construction allows for adjustments to the armhole and body length to achieve the perfect fit.
A flattering, gently curved neckline and a matching hem are neatly finished with a drop stitch detail, and an i-cord bind off, adding interest to a modern, yet timeless summer staple.
There is no seaming involved, and minimal finishing work after the garment is done. Steam blocking once finished is recommended to open up and the details.
Pattern Notes: The tee is worked in the round starting at the neck, with an I-cord cast on, and increases running down the shoulder seam detail. It’s divided and worked flat to create the armholes, then joined again for the body, with a decorative seam detail running down the sides. Short rows are worked for a gently curved back hem, finished with an I-cord bind off.
Crochet provisional CO is used to start the I-cord CO for a seamless finish, feel free to choose any other preferred CO technique instead.
All slip stitches are worked purlwise wyib unless specified otherwise.
German short row method is used throughout to keep the wrapped stitches tight and less noticeable.
