This is a crochet PATTERN ONLY (not a finished product) for a blanket using the Overlay Mosaic technique, which uses two basic crochet stitches to create a thick fabric featuring a picture or intricate design.

A semicolon is a symbol of strength and perseverance for those struggling with mental health issues and suicidal ideations. It’s an uplifting sentiment that a rough time does not mean the end. It’s not a period, just a semicolon. You pause and then move on. This design incorporates that with a cat - many of us use our pets as emotional support and a reason to keep going!

The blanket is worked with the right side facing at all times. Each row is started on the right and worked to the left, then finished off at the end. There are no color changes within the body of the blanket.

This pattern is beginner friendly, as it explains how to do mosaic (even if you’ve never done it before)! It includes a chart and instructions for reading the chart. It ALSO includes written instructions for the pattern if charts are not your thing!

This pattern uses 3 colors of yarn. This blanket can be made in any weight yarn, but a different weight will result in a different size in the end. If made with worsted weight yarn, the finished blanket should measure about 38” wide x 48” tall, not counting the fringe or border.

Needed for this pattern:
Color A (background) 1500 yards
Color B (words) 300 yards
Color C (design) 600 yards
Size 7 (4.50 mm) crochet hook
