“Semifreddo in mosaic” square doily is made in 51 rounds, starting with a magic circle. Doily is crocheted in the round from the center and outward, using mosaic overlay crochet technique. The technique is not difficult, just pay close attention to the stitch placement in the chart.

Crochet skill level is advanced. You will need to work BLO and FLO stitches, front and back post stitches, splits, popcorns (all in US terms).

I used my old desin “Semifreddo” for the centerpiece and for border.
I made two patterns for this doily and I thought a lot about what pattern to make the main. Finally I chose one of them. I added another chart (only chart) as gifts!

The chart is created using two different colors. I used mercerized cotton thread 262 yards per 50 gr. Crochet hook №1.75. Finished size from picot to picot 45 cm (17,8’’), weight — 123g.

I used these combinations of colors:
Main color - light khaki (I) white (II)
Color A - dark khaki (I) creme brulee (II)
Color B - red (I) chocolate (II)
