Senara Handwarmers
A simple handwarmer design, made in one piece with a separate branch for the thumb. This uses the lemon peel stitch pattern to provide a sturdy fabric with an interesting surface texture. While written for an adult size, there are instructions on how to customise for your hand size.
This pattern uses sport weight yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook It requires 170m of the main colour and 20m of the contrast colour (though this may vary with sizing adjustments). I used Scheepjes Stone Washed in Boulder Opal and Axinite. If using this yarn, you will need 2 balls for the main colour and 1 ball for the contrast colour.
This is a beginner level pattern written in UK terminology using slip stitches, double crochet, treble crochet, and foundation double crochet (tutorial link provided). I recommend using stitch markers to note the beginning stitch of each round.
