Sentimental Socks
3 generations of love,
In a photo of me as a child.
Me in a jumper by mum, my son reflected back and I smile.
The expression I wear, a focused stare, is one I have seen from our boy,
And the jumper made, of wool and of care,
Wraps the reflection in joy.
The Sentimental socks begin at the cuff with a cosy rib and moves into a striking yet simple eyelet and cable like pattern, you won’t need a cable needle though. The pattern contains three sizes, small, medium, and large and is knitted top down with a slip stitch heel and a flap and gusset construction. They end with a rounded toe. There’s enough detail in the pattern to keep the knitting interesting, but nothing that should be too tricky for a new sock knitter to master. This timeless design would look beautiful in almost any yarn, a tonal or lightly speckled yarn will really show off the stitches.
