The September 2019 pattern of the month is a Dancing Finch…

Weather the 12 gifts were literal or symbolic references to more feathered creatures is up for debate, but I am having so much fun designing and knitting birds I chose to continue with the theme.

Blue-capped cordon bleus are the all-singing, all-dancing players of the finch world. Both the male and female birds bob their heads, sing, and tap dance at top speed, often all at the same time.

Finished birds stand anywhere from 4” to 6 inches high depending on weight of yarn. Knit up a whole flock today!
