Sequence Sweater
The Sequence Sweater is knit from the top down in rib (k1, p1) and the yoke is shaped with raglan increases. The sweater is knit with one strand of Spinni from Isager Yarn and one strand of silk mohair held together. The first part of the yoke is knit flat to shape the neckline. The sleeves are knit on double pointed needles (dpns) or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. The neckband is knit at the end from picked up stitches along the neckline, and it is fold over to result in a double neckband in rib.
Note, the gauge should be measured after blocking. That means that while you knit should get a gauge of around 25-27 sts per 10 cm. This will relax into 22 sts per 10 cm after washing and in use. Knit a gauge swatch and wash and block it before casting on for your Sequence Sweater.
Sizing guide
The Sequence Sweater has an intended positive ease of 13-14 cm built in the pattern, compared to your actual bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL) correspond to a bust measurement of approximately 85 (90) 95 (100) 110 (120) cm. Measure yourself to find the best size for you before casting on. If you have a bust measurement of 95 cm, you should knit a size M.
Note, your Sequence Sweater will look quite small when you have just finished knitting it, given the size. When you wash, dry and use it, the rib will “open up” and the gauge should be correct and the sweater will have the right size.
When you wash the sweater and lay it flat to dry, pull it so it obtains the correct measurements and gauge of 22 sts per 10 cm.
