Sequence Washcloth #9
This design is the ninth in a series—twelve washcloths in sequence knitting for 2023. This month, we’re working the {k5, p1, k1 twice, p1} sequence on the bias, shaped with increases at the end of each row for the first half of the washcloth, then with decreases at the end of each row for the second half. Your washcloth will not be perfectly square because the row tension of sequence knitting is not the same as that of garter stitch, but it will scrub just as well as a square! This pattern, like all the others in this series, comes with general instructions for sequence knitting, as well as the specific instructions for the featured dishcloth.
Special thanks to Knit Picks ( https://www.knitpicks.com/ ) for providing their Dishie yarn for the samples.
This washcloth is a simple project. The skills you will need to know--or learn--to complete it are:
- cast on and bind off;
- knit and purl;
- kfb increase;
- k2tog decrease.
