SEQUENCE YOKE
The inspiration for this design is the wonderful book by Cecelia Campochiaro ‘Sequence knitting’ and my love of yoked sweaters. Combine that mix with a lovely high waisted linen dress and you have a yoke sweater, cropped at the high waist with a lowered hem at the back.
There is a second version in the pattern with a longer body that includes waist shaping to wear over jeans or skirts.
The sweater is started at the yoke and knitted downwards. The neck band with the bobbles is added later.
I used Holst Garn Supersoft held double and Holst Garn Coast. If you’ll use those yarns you have to double the yardage in the pattern.
But you could use Isle Yarns DK, Blacker Yarns Classic DK or Tamar, or a DK weight yarn of choice.

YARN
Holst Garn Supersoft or Holst Garn Coast (both double strand) : Use twice the length because you need two strands.
For a DK weight yarn (about 200 meters per 100 gram, main ingredient wool) and considering that the MC is used for all the bobbled edges, you should get:
Cropped cardigan: between 395 and 680 meters of MC yarn and between 330 and 575 meters of CC yarn.
Longer, fitted cardigan: between 455 and 785 meters of MC yarn and between 380 and 660 meters of CC yarn.
