1 locking stitch marker.
Ten 1 1⁄2i n / 4cm buttons (or five buttons, if you don’t want your cowl to be reversible).
Sewing needle and thread.
Yarn needle.

Tension/gauge
12 sts and 18 rows to 4in/10cm over brioche stitch.
Note: 18 rows worked in brioche stitch will appear to be only 9 rows, because each stitch is slipped on alternate rows.
