Serendipitous Symbiosis Sweater
This pattern was made with my love of nature and stained glass in mind. I wanted to show how all things come together randomly to create this perfect life, hence the title of the sweater. The three colors represent Land, Air and Sea and I made the fair isle chart to hopefully give you an artistic feel of nature. Sometimes you will see something in the chart that looks like one thing, but if you look at it again with a different eye it may look like something else. I could explain it better pointing out each little piece and how I see it different ways, but I want you to see it unbiased and come to your own conclusions.
18 stitches and 22 rounds= 4 inches (10 cm) St st with larger needles
Sizes are Small (Medium, Large) Finished Sweater sizes
Body: 32.8 (37.3, 42.6) inches
Bust: 36 (42, 48) inches
Upper arm: 12 (13.3, 15) inches
Body and sleeves are worked in the round from top down. At the underarm the pieces are divided to work the body and sleeves separately in the round.
Charts are worked in the round in St st (k every round). Read all the rounds from right to left.
When changing colors, be sure to twist the yarns on the WS to prevent holes in work.
I have included a blank chart if you want to attempt to design your own yoke sweater. You may want to do a few swatches before you begin working on the sweater, to make sure your design flows nicely. Keep in mind that color changes over increases do not always play out well.
Be sure to check your gauge, if you want your finished sweater to match the dimensions mentioned it is imperative you take the time to do this.
