Serendipity Cardigan - P134
Perfect pattern for the confident beginner who has mastered knitting 2 stitches together, and working a yo. This cardigan is worked from bottom up to armholes, sleeves worked separately, then joined to yoke. A simple pattern running up the front and around the yoke and sleeve cuffs, the remainder is worked in stocking stitch. Pattern comes with schematic. Great little summer cardigan, then the pattern can be worked in the long sleeved version for the following winter. Pattern comes with schematic.
MATERIALS REQUIRED - Double Knit, Light worsted, 116m / 127 yards per 50 gram ball
Number of balls required:
LONG SLEEVE
1-3 months -- 2 x 50 gram balls
6-9 months -- 3 x 50 gram balls
12-18 months -- 4 x 50 gram balls
2 years -- 4 x 50 gram balls
3-4 years -- 5 x 50g balls
SHORT SLEEVE
1-3 months -- 2 x 50 gram balls
6-9 months -- 3 x 50 gram balls
12-18 months -- 3 x 50 gram balls
2 years -- 4 x 50 gram balls
3-4 years -- 4 x 50g balls
One pair 4mm (US 6 : UK 8) extra long straight needles or circular needle
One spare set 4mm (US 6 : UK 8) straight needles
1 button
2 stitch markers
TENSION / GAUGE
22 stitches x 30 rows = 10cm (4in) worked in st st on 4mm (US 6 : UK 8) needles.
