The pattern requires an ADVANCED BEGINNER knowledge of crochet techniques, & is written in standard US terminology. Pattern includes full written instructions, a cheat sheet (with a space to color in your shawl colors!), helpful photos and stitch motif charts.

I know I’m not the only one that felt the stress of the start to Spring of 2020 (here’s looking at you, ‘Rona!). During this time of staying home I have turned a lot of my attention to yarn to keep myself busy and at peace and I found so much calm in the process of creating.  The word “serenity” means “the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled” and “shiloh” is a biblical word with meanings of “place of rest” and “peace.”
Working with beautiful yarns and letting my creative imagination go wild with stripe combinations helped me maintain that place of peace in a chaotic time and
I hope it does the same for you!

The triangular shawl is comprised of 2 relatively simple stitch motifs using variations basic crochet stitches. It is worked from one tip with increases along one edge, up to a middle point, switches to decreases and ends up at the other tip. The whole pattern is just the 2 motifs playing with colors and stripes! And even though you are using a fine yarn, it works up quick with the large hook size!

3 colors of fingering/sock weight yarn
Color A: 160 yds
Color B: 160 yds
Color C: 310 yds
Finished measurements roughly 89” across top edge
26” from center top down to middle point
