This sweater is inspired by an original pattern from 1937 which was published in the „Australian Women’s Weekly“ journal. Worked in stockinette stitch throughout in a three-tone stripe, the plaid effect is gained by embroidering the stripes on after in a very simple stitch.
The sweater is worked flat in separate pieces and sewn together afterwards. The neckline is finished with a small garter ribbing, worked lengthwise and closes with two crochet ties.

The pattern is designed to be worn with approx. 3,75 cm (1,5”) of negative ease and contains 10 sizes from 81 cm - 127 cm (32” - 50”) bust.

It can be worked in any Fingering weight yarn, as long as the gauge can be met.
