Serpen Tee
Serpen is a name of August month in ukrainian.
This month has been always special for me as 8 years ago aroung these days I’ve started my small knitting shop on etsy and never put my needles away since then.
I hope releasing a striped tee pattern become a small tradition this month. Last year it was Cardamon tee and this year another striped tee pattern - Serpen tee.
Serpen Tee is a cropped oversized tee with a crewneck and short sleeves. It’s designed as a raglan tee with a not so basic striped pattern. The striped pattern is worked along the yoke, body and sleeves. Combine your two favorite colors using summer yarn for warm days or use wool yarn for colder days in the mid-season period.
Serpen Tee is a perfect tee to wear with shorts and jeans or linen pants to brighten up your summer or mid-season wardrobe.
Serpen tee is worked top down and seamlessly in the round in the striped pattern along the yoke, body and sleeves. At the beginning of the yoke a few short rows are worked to shape back longer for better fit. Yoke continues working in the round with raglan increases. Once the yoke is ready, sleeves stitches are placed on hold and the body continues to work in the round to the hem. Sleeves are worked in the round once the body is ready. Neckline, body and sleeves are finished with folded edges for a more polished look.
