A novelty Afghan square based on the Serpent Starfish. I found one of these little creatures on the beach last summer, and was blown away by the beautiful design on the body, and the segmented legs. Amazing. I originally designed this as a showcase for the bullion stitch, but as not everyone enjoys this stitch I have added an alternative puff stitch version. The legs are overlaid on a rippled rock pool, and the whole thing surrounded by a narrow shell and seaweed border.
This will be the main square for September 2024 Crochet block a month group where there will be help and discussion.
