Setara Sideways Shawl
This is a trapezoid-shaped shawl worked from one end to the other. The basic pattern for the shawl is Garter stitch and the edge is knit along with the body of the shawl. The beautiful metallic yarn creates a Starry Night look. Therefore, I call the design Setara which means “The Star”. The beauty of this type of shawl is that the edging is worked along with the shawl itself and when the body of the shawl is done the shawl is ready for blocking.
This design is part of the Summer 2011 issue of Lace’n More.
Yarn used: 93% wool, 7% metallic, in black
