This hat pattern incorporates a combination of knit, purl, and slipped stitches to create a rich and unique two- toned texture. Construction of this hat starts at the brim with color A, it blends colors A and B in the middle with stripes, and then the crown is finished with color B only. Since the colorwork is created with slipped stitches, only one color is used per round.
And, as a bonus, you can use the same two skeins of petite wool to make a second hat, just switch the order of the colors.
