This sock was inspired by my dad, who turned seventy this year. Although he’s no stranger to the joy of hand knitted socks, he’s never had a pair made by me. My grandmother and my aunt, my dad’s primary sock knitters, have passed on now so I had better get to work on filling their shoes (or knitting their socks!) These socks are warm and tall, just the way he likes them, but with a splash of his daughter’s style added in the contrasting heel and toe.
