Sevilla Shawl
The Sevilla Shawl is a bottom-up triangular shawl, made with a simple yet interesting lace pattern. It is a relatively easy pattern to follow, that makes for a super cozy shawl. The increases are made evenly on both sides, until the desired length/width is reached. Keep in mind the shape of the sample shawl is achieved by wet blocking and pinning the shawl out to dimensions.
Size
The size of the shawl is 196 cm x 90 cm (78.5 in x 36 in).
Suggested Gauge
The gauge is 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) = 13 sts x 28 rows of the stitch pattern on 5 mm needles.
Suggested Needles
Needles used are 5 mm 150/200 cm (US 8 60/80 in) circular needles.
Suggested Yarn
The yarn used for this pattern is Nutiden Yarn from Höner Och Eir, but other similar unspun thin roving yarns held double or Worsted weight yarn held single can also be used.
Around 350 gr of Nutiden Yarn held double is used. Because every colour is different, you may need more yarn than mentioned. There is no yardage available for Nutiden.
Techniques used
Casting on, increasing, decreasing, yarn overs and Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.
