Sey Wallys Cushion
Introduction
Inspired by the rolling sey wallys (Old Scots for “sea waves”), this highly textured cushion is a joy to look at as well as touch. Knitted using cables and stranded colour techniques, its front panel forms an invitingly thick and tactile fabric, providing softness and warmth. Stitches are then picked up around the feature panel and precise increasing forms the mitred corners. The back panels are knitted in continuation from the front top and bottom using garter stitch patterns to continue our wave theme.
