The Sferenta Sock Set is loaded with textures and cables. Designed for all of you who are willing to turn up your beautiful YARN ADVENT CALENDARS into socks.
For those who are about to knit some socks for XMAS gifts out of your yarn stash as well.

This is a versatile design so you can use the same pattern to knit a bit lacy, cabled, feminine sock in pastel colors and traditional, ribbed male sock in neutral colors.
Possibilities are endless and each version can be different.

The socks are designed using the fake cables. These cables are super easy and you do not need any cable needle of stitch twisting: you create cable-look-like texture by combination of YO, K2tog and ssk. You can decide how your work will look like by knitting YO in two methods (through front or back loop) to get eyelet or solid fabric.

The cable pattern is charted and written, adapted to sizes and very easy to memorize.

The Sferenta Socks have toe-up construction with two heel options to choose from: a peasant or boomerang heel.
Instructions are for magic loop technique but can be adapted for DPNS.

The pattern will be divided into three parts. Each part will contain one version of sockset. There are three versions: I, II & III as pictured on attached photos. Each version will be sent as a pattern update on 1st, 2nd and 3rd Sunday of Advent 2023 (3, 10, 17 December 2023). There is also a bonus, mystery sock knitted in DK weight yarn planned to be added at the end.

SIZES: 1 (2) 3 = 48 (56) 64 sts
Finished sock circumference: 1 = 18cm/7” (2 = 21cm/8”) 3 = 24cm/9.4”

GAUGE: 30 sts x 46 rows in PATTERN on a 2.25 mm (US size 1 / UK size 13) needle = 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”)
NEEDLES: 2,25 mm (US size 1 / UK size 13) sock needles of your choice: DPNS, short circulars or long circular for Magic Loop (min.100cm/39”) or other size you need to obtain the gauge.

MATERIALS: 60–100 gram /250–420 meters / 260-428 yards in total (incl. 10-20 gram / 40-80 meters / 42-85 yards of contrasting color for heel/toe) of any fingering weight / 4 ply sock yarn of your choice. Yarn amount depends on the size, foot and leg adjustable length you are about to knit.
