Shabby Chic Beret
I’m so happy to share one of my best selling (custom ordered) patterns. This shabby chic beret has been made so many times for customers who have been over the moon with their purchase, leaving great reviews and sending me photos.
The (US terms) pattern is super easy to read and make, suitable for beginners. it works up fast, you can make several in a weekend (I do anyway, when I have the weekend free)
Choose your button embellishment to really make your flower pop and you have a very special vintage style beret to wear, gift or sell.
NOTE:
Teen/adult size yarn: Debby Bliss Cashmerino Aran suggested.
Gauge is included in written pattern.
All other sizes:
The quality of acrylic yarn you choose is important to the pattern. I’ve tested the beret with several types of yarn, and know that cheap acrylics can be very fine, too thin for this pattern.
If you are on a budget, I suggest a softee yarn (Carnival brand in Australia, available from Big W) as this yarn, even though cheap, turns out beautifully.
