Shabby Chic Heart Shrug

This pattern has been produced as a collaborative effort between myself and animalfanatic187

The Shabby Chic Heart Shrug is a basic rectangular design with a large heart motif in the centre back. The ‘sleeves’ are formed by joining the top and bottom edges for a short distance.
You will use around 330m of the yarn you choose. 10ply (aran/worsted/#4) yarns work best.

I like using cotton, animalfanatic187 loves using Caron Cakes.

This works up beautifully with an 8mm hook.

Techniques/abbreviations required…
Foundation Double Crochet (Fdc) – can be substituted for a row of chain +2 and a row of dc, if you prefer.
Chainless Starting Double Crochet (CSdc) – can be substituted for ch 3 throughout, if you prefer.
Double Crochet (dc)
Single Crochet (sc)
‘V’ Stitch (dc, ch1, dc in same stitch)
Double Crochet 2 Together (Dc2tog)
Double Crochet 3 Together (Dc3tog)
Linked Double Crochet (Ldc) – Optional, but it does create a beautiful finish.
