You can use any yarn you like as long as you love the drapey fabric it produces. The model used size 4 needles and 4 skeins of Jojoland Melody sport weight yarn – 1000 yards approximately. The thicker the yarn, the less yardage and the bigger needles you will need. Conversely the thinner the yarn, the smaller the needles and the more yardage you will have to have. Play with your yarn to produce a texture that feels right to you. The pattern is written for a stockinette stitch fabric, but you can also produce a garter stitch fabric by knitting all purl rows instead.
