Okay…. I have a dirty little secret. I am FREAKING OUT about the Fifty Shades of Grey movie! (You are not allowed to judge me!) So in celebration, I designed this hat yesterday and finished it yesterday. I am a big fan of secretly being a big fan. I like crocheting things that silently show my passions. So here it is! The Shades of Grey Slouch!

I found this cute little stitch and once I began crocheting it, i discovered it was more of a weaving technique than a real stitch. The stitch is known as the “woven overlay stitch” but I wrote the pattern in dcs and chains to make things simpler.
