Hat as shown can only be made from Zombie Yarns colorways called Zombie Shadows which are a vibrant color dyed across half the skein and the other half is dipped in black. This diameter of skein combines with the number of stitches for the hat to make a long slow spiral than mimicks stripes or self striping patterns.

The hat begins at the brim and is knit straight up to the top or til yarn runs out, then joined with a 3 needle bind off. No crown shaping, instead the stripes make an interesting square at the top.
