We needed a wooly version of the SHAI COAT design for the PRECIOUS KNITS book. That’s how my new favorite came to be.

SHAI COAT - wooly version - will be published as a new pattern, but you will receive both instructions.

SHAI COAT -wooly version- is worked seamlessly from the top down. It provides a classic shape with jacket collar, raglan sleeves, patch pockets and 3 buttons in the front front panel.

MATERIAL

The shown sample is worked with BC GARN LOCH LOMOND, 169 yds (155 m) pr. 50 g, 2 strands held together all over the garment.

NEEDLES

Circular needles and dpns (or circular needles for magic loop) 7,0 mm and US10,5 (6,5 mm), or needles to obtain the gauge.

GAUGE

15 sts x 18 rows in stockinette stitch on larger needles, for 4 x 4“ (10 x 10 cm).

TOOLS

Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn or stitch holder, blocking tools.

REQUIREMENTS

German short rows technique, , slanted increases M1R/ M1L, decreases ssk / k2tog.
