This one-skein shawl is knit in the shape of a shallower triangle, which makes it more practical for everyday wear compared to a deep triangular shawl. The simple no fuss construction is easy to memorize once you get the hang of it. Although it is relatively plain, asymmetric blocks of garter and stockinette stitch add subtle interest. The ends are tapered enough to be tied together into a non-bulky knot, turning the shawl in a cowl.

It is important to note that the pattern will not show up that well on variegated yarns. The more solid colored the yarn is the better the pattern will show up. Furthermore, although this project is simple to execute, it requires a lot of time and patience to knit so much lace weight yarn.
