Shamrock Hot Pad
Brighten up your table on St. Patrick’s Day with this quick and colorful Shamrock Hot Pad.
This pattern is also available for FREE on my blog:

The hot pad is double thick, the front and back pieces joined by the border. The pattern uses applique and surface crochet techniques to create the design elements.
I give a basic description of the surface crochet technique in the pattern, but you may want to view a video on the topic before starting this project.
Skill level: Intermediate
Gauge is not overly important but was measured on a sample of dc in the rnd.
Any worsted weight acrylic yarn should work for this pattern. The sample was created with a mixture of Red Heart Super Saver and other acrylic yarns found in a stash dive.
This project is great for using up left over colors from other projects!
