The Shaniko shawl begins with a simple garter stitch triangle, creating a smooth and even foundation. The lace border adds a touch of sophistication and lightness to the design. the blend of Shaniko wool and cashmere makes a fabric that is light, warm, and cozy.
- Yarn: Two skeins LavenderSheep Shaniko Cashmere (80% Shaniko wool/20% cashmere; 490yds/100g), shown in Main Color (MC) “Crows Say KAH” and Contrast Color (CC)“Wild Child” OR approximately 490 yards MC and 340 yards CC fingering weight yarn
- Needles: 32” circular needle size US 5 (3.75mm)
- Size: 80” wingspan and 22” depth at center
- Gauge: 21 sts x 40 rows = 4” in garter stitch after blocking
