This pattern is named after my friend, Shannon. Shannon can sew like a wiz. I can….er….watch people sew. It is a skill I have not mastered.

One day, Shannon was telling me about these infinity scarves she was sewing up for some teenage girls. She added a little pocket to each scarf so the girls can stash their phone, wallet, chapstick, whatever.

I immediately needed that scarf! Hey, I’m always lugging around 2 toddlers. Carrying a purse or a bag is just one more thing, you know? Yet…I need to carry at least my wallet and my phone. I thought a simple scarf that I could wear around my neck containing all my junk was basically a genius idea.

But as I said before, I cannot sew. So, I crocheted one. Boom.

If you fantasize about hands free freedom and must have this scarf, you’ll need roughly 450 yards of yarn and a large (28mm) button. Measuring and sewing notions as well. That’s about it. It’s pretty straight forward.

The scarf utilizes the thermal stitch (Picture tutorial included in the pattern) which works up warm, squishy and most importantly, opaque. Perfect if you want to stash things in your pocket you’d rather people not see. AKA: tampons.

Just me? Opps.
