Shape of a heart est un châle triangulaire symétrique tricoté de haut en bas en aller-retours. Il est parsemé d’un motif en dentelle qui se dessine en miroir de part et d’autre d’une arête centrale. Au fur et à mesure, la dentelle s’accélère jusqu’à former de grands losanges. La dentelle est facile et aisément mémorisable. Elle ne se travaille que
sur les rangs impairs. Tous les rangs pairs se tricotent en mailles envers.

Le modèle original est tricoté avec 2 écheveaux de By Night Sirius (75%Bluefaced Leicester • 25%Gotland - 100g = 350m) teints à la cochenille.

Shape of a Heart is a symmetrical triangle shawl that is worked from the top down beginning with a garter tab cast-on. It is covered by a lace pattern running on both sides of a central spine. As it goes, the lace grows faster until it turns into a diamond shape. The lace pattern is easy to memorize and is knit on the right side of the shawl only. All wrong side rows are purled.

Sample was knit with 2 skeins of By Night Sirius (75%Bluefaced Leicester • 25%Gotland - 100g = 350m) dyed with cochenille.

Gauge is calculated after blocking on the lace pattern that covers most of the shawl.
