The Shapes & Blocks Crochet Pattern is a baby blanket pattern great for little girls or boys! It features six shapes made with double crochet solid filet squares: a triangle, a star, a heart, a diamond, a circle, and a square. The finished blanket is 46 inches by 37 inches. The pattern includes directions for each kind of square, the border for the individual squares, sewing the squares together and a border for the blanket.

The pattern features written directions, photos, and a universal stitch diagram and calls for light or DK weight, size 3 yarn and an G6/ 4 mm hook. For this easy level pattern, you should know how to complete double crochet stitches and chain stitches. The pattern features 2 start options, either use of the foundation double crochet stitch, or work a chain and then work double crochet stitches into the chain. The optional border for the pattern calls for knowledge of the single crochet stitch.

This listing includes two versions of the pattern to download. The first is a full photo 14 page version, the second is an ink friendly version, 12 pages long. Both versions contain a pattern stitch diagrams for each shape at the end. I recommend reviewing the photos in the full photo version, even you plan to print only the ink friendly version.
