DESCRIPTION
SHARING CREATIVITY is knit from the bottom up, working back and forth in relaxing garter stitch rows. Slip stitches are made at the beginning and end of each row to nicely finish the edges. The knitting is then joined to work in the round, and the length of the cowl is completed. An I-cord bind off finishes the neck opening.

SIZES
Size: 1 (2)
Neck Circumference: 20 (23)“ / 50 (58) cm
Center Depth: 21 (21)” / 53 (53) cm
#SizeInclusive

GAUGE, NEEDLES, NOTIONS
Gauge: 21 sts & 50 rows = 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch, blocked.
Note: Some testers found fiber content different from sample shown to yield different final measurements. If you are concerned about the final size, make a gauge swatch, soak for 15 minutes, lay out (don’t pin) to dry. Take your measurements for gauge after completely dry.

Recommended Needles: US 4/3.5 mm (or size needed to get gauge) 16” / 40 cm circular needle or 40” / 101 cm circular needle for magic loop. (If you find your bind off tends to be too tight, you may wish to use needles one size larger for the I-cord bind off).

Notions: Removeable stitch marker, BOR stitch marker, scissors, tapestry needle.

YARN
This cowl is designed for a Fingering weight yarn. I used Spunky Eclectic Panda (The Perfect Storm) 65% SW Merino/ 35% Bamboo Rayon (400 yds / 365 meters) and Cascade Yarns Sorata (Deep Teal) 70% Llama 30% Silk (9 yds / 8 meters). This is meant to use just one skein from your stash (or any scraps from left over projects!) Create stripes, solids, fades, color blocks, or a mix match of everything! This makes this the perfect - truly FREE - project! If you have the means to do so, you might consider supporting your LYS or Indie Dyer. Your purchase would help support their small business during this uncertain time.

Yardage: 410 (450) yds / 365 (412) meters

TECHNIQUES USED
Knit, purl, increasing, slipping stitches, knitting flat and in the round, I-cord bind off.

~ I had planned to take my time with this project; working on it in between other things. I always like having a long term project, and being stuck at home for an undetermined amount of time, I knew I needed something to occupy my mind. Projects in fingering weight yarn usually take me forever to finish, so this would be perfect! But sometimes creativity has a way of running its own course. Once a few rows were started, a design began to form. The stitches flowed steadily, and before I knew it, this project was finished. I loved it immediately, and I knew I had to share it with others! So I’m sharing my creativity with you. I can’t wait to see how you make it your own! ~
